These terms govern your use of LooniePie. By creating an account, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the platform.
You must be at least 18 years old, and either a parent or legal guardian, to create a LooniePie account. Students access the platform only through profiles created by that account holder — students do not create their own accounts.
LooniePie is a supplementary learning tool for Ontario students in Grades 4–9: an AI chat tutor, gamified practice quizzes, reference material, and progress tracking for parents. LooniePie is an AI tutor, not a replacement for your child's teacher — it's designed to support learning alongside, not instead of, classroom instruction.
LooniePie's tutor is powered by AI (Anthropic's Claude). Like any AI system, it can make mistakes, misunderstand a question, or occasionally produce an incorrect explanation. We've built it to stay focused on Ontario Grade 4–9 math and to decline politely when asked about anything outside that scope, but we can't guarantee every response will be perfect. If something seems wrong, we encourage checking with a teacher or parent.
Students can attach a photo of their homework for help. Photos are automatically checked to confirm they show genuine math content before the AI engages with them; anything that isn't math-related is declined and never stored.
The account holder is responsible for ensuring the platform is used appropriately by anyone using their student profiles. Don't use LooniePie to upload content that isn't related to schoolwork, to attempt to access another family's account or data, or to try to circumvent the safety features built into the AI tutor.
Photos and messages a student submits remain associated with your account and are visible to you as the parent. We don't claim ownership over content you or your child submit, and we use it only to provide the tutoring service itself, as described in our Privacy Policy.
As of this writing, LooniePie is free to use during an early access period. LooniePie does not currently have a paid subscription or billing system. This section will be updated with pricing, billing terms, and cancellation policy before any paid plan is introduced — check back here if you're evaluating LooniePie for the future.
You may stop using LooniePie and request deletion of your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate an account that violates these terms, including misuse of the acceptable use section above.
LooniePie is provided "as is." We work to keep quiz content accurate and curriculum-aligned, and to keep the AI tutor helpful and safe, but we don't guarantee the platform will be error-free or uninterrupted, and we aren't responsible for a student's academic outcomes.
To the extent permitted by law, LooniePie and its creator aren't liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited.
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable within it.
We may update these terms as the platform evolves — most notably when payment is introduced. We'll update the "Last updated" date when we do, and significant changes will be communicated to account holders directly.
